Nobles Parkrun
The Isle of Man Insurance Institute will be supporting the Nobles Parkrun on Saturday 27th September 2025, selling cakes and other goodies in the Mike Hailwood Centre to raise money for the Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) and our chosen charity for this year: EdSpace.
For those who do not know what Nobles Parkrun is, it is a free, fun, and friendly weekly 5K community event. You can walk, jog, run, volunteer, or spectate - it is up to you!
Feel free to bring your family and friends with you, and if you wish to bring your dog, please ensure it remains on a lead at all times. The event is located at Nobles Park, St Ninian's Road, Douglas IM2 4BE. The event will commence at 9.00am.

Isle of Man PFS Autumn Conference
During the event you will experience a day of topical and insightful business updates which all contribute to your CPD. At the heart of this will be presentations delivered by a number of leading subject matter experts. The conference offers a great opportunity for networking and sharing good practice with your peers, local to where you live and/or work.
You can expect:
- all locally-arranged speakers selected for you by your local PFS Regional Committee
- an engaging approach, making it easy for you to talk with other delegates
- a real sense that this is your community of good practice.
Throughout the day your local PFS regional committee will provide updates on new developments and initiatives from across the Personal Finance Society, helping you stay informed about the benefits of membership and to take away information which may benefit colleagues and others in your practice/firm.

CII Annual Halloween Quiz 2025
Hello Everyone!
The CII are excited to announce that we are hosting a quiz night at The British Embassy Room on the 16th of October 2025! The event will take place at 7:00pm and will finish no later than 10:00pm.
This will be a team-based quiz, each company will be able to submit as many teams as you wish, each team must be 4-6 players.
Unfortunately, we are unable to provide any food at the venue. However, there is a bar available to us all on the evening (so I’m sure this will suffice!)
We are looking to get a rough idea of numbers as soon as possible so please do let us know if you wish to attend!

Funded CertCII & DipCII Training Sessions - IF4, IF1, M92 & M85
A flexible, unit-by-unit remote training initiative for members of the Isle of Man Institute wanting support to help them achieve their CII General Insurance qualifications, funded by the Local Institute.
In conjunction with Intuition Training, we are happy to be able to offer a flexible, unit-by-unit remote training initiative for our members who may want support to help them achieve their CII General Insurance qualifications.
The cost of these courses will be fully funded by the Local Institute.
Remote training on units is based on a series of sessions going through the detail of the textbook, supported by end of chapter questions.
This is followed by revision sessions based on mock exams and revision quizzes:
IF4 Claims handling process - 4 x 3 hour sessions - 9th of September 2025
IF1 Insurance legal and regulatory - 7 x 3 hours sessions - 16th of October 2025
M92 Insurance business and finance - 7 x 3 hour sessions - 15th of October 2025
M85 Claims practice - 7 x 3 hour sessions - 22nd of October 2025
All sessions are recorded so learners can re-listen as part of their studies (audio versions are also available)
In addition to the live training time and the recorded sessions, all learners will be provided with a broad set of training & revision materials for each unit.

No prior knowledge of Sustainable Finance is needed — just bring your curiosity and a willingness to play!

The charity has also just launched a support group for women's mental health.
