YMC Winter Ball 2025

YMC Winter Ball: 20 Years of Glamour and Growth
Twenty years after its inception, the Insurance Institute of London brought together over 1,000 young insurance professionals for the ever-glamorous YMC Winter Ball on 21 November 2025.
Set within the historic grounds of the Honourable Artillery Company, the evening was a feast for the senses. Guests from across the London Market enjoyed a sumptuous three-course dinner, cutting-edge entertainment, and danced late into the night to a live band and DJ.
Every corner offered excitement: mirrored performers shimmered under the lights, sketch artists captured unforgettable moments, and retro arcade games added a nostalgic twist. Dodgems, dancers, and photo booths added to the carnival-like atmosphere, ensuring no one left without a smile.
For the third consecutive year, Specialist Risk Group headlined the event, with People & Culture Director Joanne Wright delivering an inspiring speech celebrating the industry’s rising stars. Distinguished guests included IIL Immediate Past-President Lucy Clarke and Deputy President Ken Norgrove FCII, proudly supporting as Presidential and Gold sponsors, together with representatives from local institutes across the Southern region.
The night also marked a leadership milestone: Kimberley Hallam ACII stepped down as YMC Chair after seven years of dedicated service, passing the torch to Valtter Lehtonen Cert CII.
From its humble beginnings to this glittering celebration, the YMC Winter Ball has grown beyond expectations while staying true to its mission - honouring the future of the profession and showcasing next-generation talent. In line with the London Institute’s commitment to giving back, all proceeds will benefit The Wickers Charity, empowering London youth with safe spaces, mentorship, and pathways to a brighter future.

We aim to support young people in reaching their full potential regardless of social status, race, religion or postcode. No child should feel the need to carry or use a knife. Nor should they have to engage in anti-social behaviour in the pursuit of money and opportunity.
We offer a range of workshops and programmes in East London that provide young people with free opportunities. Our amazing team of role models support the young people in developing an open mindset to new experiences that may pose as a positive outlet.”
Exact timings will be confirmed nearer the date of the event. Bookings are only confirmed upon receipt of payment.
