Inherent defect insurance claims

In this IIL claims webinar, John Eves and Ben Keatinge look at how to manage the challenges of adjusting latent defect insurance claims, and some of the legal issues that commonly arise.

Latent defect insurance claims come with their own set of challenges. The way that latent defect insurance cover works is often poorly understood, construction issues are often complicated and high-value, and policyholders are frequently consumers who may have inherited the policy upon purchase of their property.

In this session, John shares his practical experience in the effective handling of latent defect claims, as well as his perspective on current trends in the type of defects that are leading to claims, while Ben looks at some of the most common coverage issues and how these can be dealt with before they escalate, and what subrogated recoveries options might be open to insurers.
