CPD educational visit to William Morris Gallery

Step into the world of William Morris with a guided tour of the Gallery’s permanent collection. On this tour, members will explore iconic designs, textiles, and stories that shaped the Arts and Crafts movement, as well as a broad overview of their standard insurance arrangements, including the difference between this and government indemnity insurance.
William Morris Gallery is the only public gallery devoted to the designer, craftsman and radical socialist William Morris. This Gallery is in a Grade II* listed building, a Georgian house built in the 1740s and was William Morris’s family home from 1848 to 1856. In 2011-12, architects Pringle Richards Sharratt designed a major redevelopment of the Gallery. The historic house was fully refurbished, with new collection displays created on the ground and first floors. The top floor became a learning and research centre.
