In this webinar, organised by the IIL Young Members’ Committee in collaboration with Marsh Young Professionals, Dr Bev Adams and David Stark explains Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) – what it is and why it is so important, what businesses are doing about it and why it will remain important in the future.

ESG is shaping the development and operation of businesses around the world. Emerging risks, growing regulatory requirements, and increasing stakeholder scrutiny have resulted in organisations needing to understand the risks they face and respond appropriately.

As a result, insurance organisations are increasingly having conversations with their clients about the topic of ESG. This webinar covers the basics of what ESG actually is through to what it means for the insurance industry. It explores the regulatory landscape which has emerged as a result of growing ESG pressures and gives examples of what businesses are doing to respond to it.

The aim of this webinar is to provide insight into ESG, help you have more informed conversations and better understand a very broad and complex topic.
