Stress awareness and burnout

Online event
Monday, 26 April 2021
12:00 pm – 1:00 pm (UK time)
    • Anne Thomas, Director of Employability & Business Development, Mind in the City, Hackney and Waltham Forest
  • Wellbeing Programme

For Stress Awareness Month (April 2021), we partnered with Mind in the City, Hackney and Waltham Forest (MindCHWF) to deliver a webinar focussing on stress and burnout in the workplace.

Stress is something we all deal with in our lives, but that doesn’t make it any easier when things start to get on top of us. We all know what it feels like to be stressed, but do we know how to manage stress when it becomes too much to cope with?

At the completion of the webinar, members were equipped with an improved understanding of stress-related issues along with practical tips to reduce stress for themselves as well as those around them.

By the end of this webinar, members will have gained an insight into:

  • How to be more aware of their own stressors and habits contributing to ill health
  • The difference between good stress and unhealthy stress
  • How to support staff to reduce their stress and to avoid burnout
  • What the symptoms of stress might look like and could lead to if left untreated
  • Practical tips to reduce stress and promote wellbeing

  • Between 1 April 2019 and 31 March 2020, foodbanks in the Trussell Trust network distributed 1.9 million emergency food supplies to people in crisis, an 18% increase on the previous year
  • More than 700,000 of those supplies went to children
  • During the first two months of lockdown, Barking Foodbank provided more than 8,300 meals to people in need
