Reframing emotional clients
In this IIL financial services webinar, Joanna Grandfield and Marcie Shaoul demonstrated ways in which to understand what stops emotional clients moving forward and how to enable professional advisors to move them forward so that the client is in a position to make clear, well thought-out decisions about their finances.
If you are working with separating or bereaved clients to help them manage their finances, wealth, or insurance in circumstances where they cannot see beyond the emotion they are experiencing, it can be hard to make progress with them. This webinar, using a mixture of discussion, practical tools, and scenarios, highlighted some of those places where clients get stuck and looked at tools with which to free them and move them forward.
By the end of this webinar members would have gained an insight into:
- Identifying when clients are in fight, flight, freeze mode. Tell-tale signs and what to look for
- Understanding how that will prevent them from moving forward
- Understanding and identifying the impact of those behaviours on what they are trying to achieve with you
- Being able to start unpicking and unblocking those behaviours using tools learned in the webinar
