The Insurance Distribution Directive (IDD) - what you MUST do by 1 October 2018
Advance booking is essential - download booking form below & return to the speaker
A two hour briefing presented by Branko Bjelobaba FCII, Senior Consultant on FCA Compliance and CII Accredited Advanced General Insurance Trainer.
With only a few weeks to go, this event, for FCA regulated firms only, (of relevance to general insurance firms - insurers and brokers), will provide a detailed overview of the final rules that require implementation from 1 October 2018. Changes will apply to: compulsory training, marketing materials, conduct of business, product oversight and governance, conflicts of interest, systems and controls, PII cover, client money and ancillary insurance intermediaries together with HMT/FCA changes to introducing activity.
The Insurance Mediation Directive has been with us since 2005 and make no mistake, the UK has enacted the IDD to ensure we trade with the rest of the EU on a level playing field as from 1 October 2018 and once Brexit has happened (with agreement still outstanding on passporting and other similar matters).
Do you know what changes you will have to make to be compliant with the law? Come and join fellow market professionals and find out.
All delegates will receive a mapping tool against the current proposed requirements to assist with implementation at their firm.
By the end of this event delegates will have gained an insight into:
- IDD requirements - compulsory training, marketing materials, conduct of business, product oversight and governance, conflicts of interest, systems and controls, PII cover, client money and ancillary insurance intermediaries together with HMT/FCA changes to introducing activity
- CII/PFS member - £200 + VAT
- Non-members - £300 + VAT
