New IIL President for 2026-27 announced

Ken Norgrove FCII, Chartered Insurer, Chief Executive Officer, Intact Insurance UK & International, took office as the new President of the Insurance Institute of London (IIL) for 2026-27 at the AGM on Monday, 28 September.

Ken has four decades of experience in senior insurance industry roles and has spent most of his career at Intact Insurance. Before becoming CEO, he led RSA Scandinavia from 2019 until the acquisition of RSA by Intact Financial Corporation in June 2021. Before that, Ken was CEO of RSA Ireland, where he led the successful turnaround of the business from 2014 to 2019.

Beyond Intact Insurance, Ken spent one year as Vice President at Travelers Insurance, and three years as CEO of Zurich General Insurance (Ireland) between 2010 and 2014.

Ken is currently ABI Deputy President and Board member, Pool Re Board member, and fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute UK (CII). He is a former President of Insurance Ireland and the Insurance Institute of Ireland.

The Insurance Charity - School Essentials Grant

The Insurance Charity is offering School Essentials grants to help eligible families with the costs associated with their children’s education. Awards are available to current and former insurance people in the UK, Ireland and the Channel Islands who receive means-tested benefits and have children attending primary or secondary school, or sixth-form college.
