Escape London for the afternoon into the rolling winelands of Kent with a private wine experience at Balfour Winery, one of England’s most celebrated vineyards.

Nestled in the heart of Kent, Balfour is an award-winning estate celebrated not only for its exceptional wines - including those served in British Airways First Class - but also for its commitment to sustainability and innovation. Named ‘England’s Best Vineyard’ to visit, it offers the perfect backdrop for a relaxed, inspiring networking experience. 

On arrival, a sparkling wine and non-alcoholic reception with paired canapés is served on the terrace or balcony, offering panoramic vineyard views and an easy, sociable start to the afternoon. 

A private vineyard tour follows, led by Balfour’s expert team, providing insight into the estate’s sustainable approach and award-winning still and sparkling wines. Then, enjoy a guided tasting of six wines, with expert-led introductions suitable for both knowledgeable wine drinkers and those new to English wine. Freshly baked bread and sharing local cheese platters are served during the tasting for all to enjoy. Locally produced fresh fruit juices will be available for those who do not wish to drink alcohol on the day.

The afternoon concludes with time to relax, network and enjoy the rural setting before returning to London, leaving you with new connections and a memorable shared experience.

What you need to know:
Attendees will need to purchase their own train tickets and catch the 11:43 train from London Bridge to Marden. We will then be collected by a luxury minibus from Marden station for the short scenic transfer to the Balfour Winery.

On the way back, the minibus will depart Balfour Winery at 15:30 in time for the 15:53 train from Marden, returning to London Bridge by 16:41. However, if you prefer to stay and explore the vineyard a while longer, and make your own way back to the station for a later train, you are welcome to do so.

We recommend purchasing an off-peak ticket so you are free to return later if you wish.
