US cyber and privacy claims trends

In this IIL cyber & tech webinar, Joan D’Ambrosio gives an overview of the current state of play in the U.S. regarding data breaches and privacy litigation, as well as regulatory exposures arising from the collection and use of data.
In this session, the speaker covers what is new in data breach class action litigation in the US, including how cases are being litigated and resolved, and cutting-edge defence and settlement strategies. She also addresses non-breach privacy exposures arising from the collection and use of data (including through biometric and AI technologies).
Finally, the speaker reviews the newer mass arbitration trend and emerging exposures such as media liability exposures arising from social media, as well as federal and state regulatory developments covering data breaches and privacy incidents.
