Aviation 6

In this IIL aviation webinar, Dr Alejandro Block Novelo talks about  IATA’s strategy to get airlines to net zero carbon dioxide emissions by 2050, including technologies, fuels, and operations, as well as cost considerations for the transition.

How can aviation, one of the hardest sectors to decarbonise, meet the objective of becoming a net zero CO2 emissions industry by 2050? What intermediate milestones must we meet before then? How much will this cost and how will the costs be covered? What are the challenges and opportunities ahead? This and more will be covered in this session on aviation’s strategy to net-zero 2050.

Learning objectives:

  • Understand why this is a priority for aviation
  • Understand the plans and strategies
  • What are the bottlenecks?
