Join us for an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at Ocado’s Luton Customer Fulfilment Centre (CFC10), showcasing the cutting-edge warehouse automation and logistics technology.

In this IIL educational CPD visit, members will have the opportunity to look at one of the most sophisticated warehouse environments operating anywhere in global supply chains today, home to Ocado's world-leading fulfilment technology. The tour walks through the state-of-the-art site end to end, starting with goods arriving and being decanted into Ocado's unique 'Hive' totes, before moving to the automated storage grid itself and the bots and robotic arms retrieving totes on top of it, then on to the pick stations where products move from Hive totes into customer delivery totes. Finally, visitors see out-loading in action, where totes are built onto dollies and roll cages and loaded onto vans for dispatch. The tour will take you through different areas at Ocado:

  • Full Operational Area: Experience the full end-to-end journey of an order across our operational footprint
  • Inbound & Automated Decant: See how inventory enters the facility and transitions seamlessly through our Automated Decant and Pick stations
  • The Grid & Picking Process: Observe our fully utilised grid of bots handling real-time order retrieval alongside On-Grid Robotic Pick Arms
  • Auto-Frameload & Dispatch: Discover how orders are consolidated via Auto-Frameload systems and prepared for efficient, high-speed dispatch
