Visit to All Saints Church in Fleet - a historic property site

In this IIL educational visit to All Saints Church in Fleet, attendees can learn about insurance cover in the heritage sector while exploring a historic building which was restored in 2023.
All Saints is a Victorian-era, brick-built church that was destroyed by fire in 2015. The fire destroyed the roof and much of its interior. A major project was undertaken to rebuild the church but with some modifications and improvements which will reduce the carbon footprint, improve disabled access, and facilitate greater flexibility for more community events.
During this site tour, attendees will gain an overview of the architectural and insurance aspects of the church given by experts from Ecclesiastical and Clews Architects.
Learning objectives:
- Understand the typical project timescales when dealing with a major heritage loss
- Understand common methods of repair and restoration to listed buildings and valuable contents
- See the practical application of a heritage reinstatement project
Morning refreshments and lunch will be provided.
Attendees are required to make their own travel arrangements to/from the venue. Fleet Railway Station is approximately one mile away. There is a large pay-as-you-go car park near the church called Fleet Town Car Park.
Places on visits are limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
A fee will be charged for all visits. Visit fees are non-refunded if cancelled.
