Join us on a horizon-scanning journey across the insurance landscape through a claims lens.

Bringing together experts in the field to make the session accessible to young professionals across all areas in insurance, the event will include insights and discussion on: 

  • The first 30 days of a claim and common pitfalls to avoid
  • Spotlight session: Trends in casualty and medical/life sciences claims (including psychiatric injury claims and product liability, as well as the rise of psychological harm and discrimination)
  • Looking ahead: The future of claims management (including the impact of market consolidation, collaborative rehabilitation, social inflation, AI and fraud)
  • Future-ready: The importance of human relationships in insurance and top tips on how to stand out in the market

Learning objectives: 

  • Describe the key stages and challenges within the first 30 days of a claim, identifying common pitfalls and the actions that support effective claims handling and positive customer outcomes

  • Recognise emerging trends and evolving risks in casualty, medical, and life sciences claims, including psychiatric injury claims, product liability, psychological harm, and discrimination-related claims, and understand their potential impact on insurers

  • Explain how future developments are shaping claims management and the wider insurance market, including the impact of social inflation, market consolidation, collaborative rehabilitation, AI and fraud, while identifying the importance of strong human relationships and professional behaviours in building a successful insurance career
