In this IIL accident webinar, Trevor Maynard outlined the latest work from the innovation team and Lloyd’s and provided an insight into what is to come in 2021 including consideration of intangible assets, geopolitics, climate risks and the Lloyd’s Lab.

Innovation is vital to ensure a flow of new products and services to meet the changing needs of our customers. In a rapidly changing world with new technologies, new customer digitally focussed expectations and new economies this has never been more important.

This talk covered some key themes from the Innovation team at Lloyd’s including: The importance of intangible assets such as reputation, intellectual property and human capital – and how to protect them. Trevor also gave an overview of how Lloyd’s has worked with the Product Innovation facility to explore this subject.

The Lloyd's Lab has explored multiple fascinating ideas in the past year and Trevor presented several to illustrate the creativity that is coming to the market and how we are responding to it.

Innovative products come with challenges and the speaker will give some thoughts and insights into how to price innovative products and how it is vital to tie innovation aims into company strategy to avoid wasted effort.
