9:00 am – 11:30 am (UK time)
    • Kate Walker Miles, Communications Skills Tutor, RADA Business
  • Inclusion & Diversity

The Insurance Institute of London (IIL) teamed up with the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) to provide a two hour masterclass teaching members the fundamental rules of creativity and improvisation, and how they can be applied to the workplace.

Improvisation is the art of listening and reacting, and creating something from nothing, without a pre-planned course of action.

Participants were shown how to let go of fear, take risks and get into a creative mode. They discovered what unlocks creativity and how they can be more creative, confident and collaborative in communicating their own ideas at work.

The masterclass was an immersive, interactive experience with practical skills and takeaways.

By the end of this masterclass, members will have:

  • Learnt how to generate ideas quickly and build on others' ideas
  • Learnt how to alleviate stress, tension and nerves when communicating ideas
  • Learnt how to step out of their comfort zone and take risks
