The Insurance Institute of London (IIL) teamed up with the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) for a two hour masterclass to help members improve their presentation skills in the workplace.

The masterclass encouraged participants to realise the full potential of their body, breath and voice when presenting and develop a deeper understanding of the importance of clear and focused communications skills.

Participants discovered how they tend to communicate and learned tools and techniques in order to present with greater impact, passion and confidence. They also learnt how to overcome nerves and inhibitions, and how to engage an audience from the outset with content and messaging. The skills learnt in this masterclass can apply to a variety of presentation scenarios, including meetings and pitches.

By the end of this masterclass, members will have:

  • Greater self-awareness of how they communicate with others
  • Greater command and understanding of their body, breath and voice
  • Learnt how to present with greater impact and confidence
  • A practical 'toolkit' of techniques to take back into the workplace
