GDPR - what is changing and what you should have done by 25 May 2018

A two hour briefing presented by Branko Bjelobaba FCII, FCA Compliance Consultant and CII Accredited Advanced General Insurance Trainer.

This event is for all manner of firms handling any type of client data in the GI sector with a focus on broking.

Many significant changes should have been implemented by now as this became law on 25 May 2018 - have you made ALL the changes?

By the end of this event delegates will have gained an insight into:

• GDPR requirements that require enhanced compliance and provide increased individual rights (with a rather large sanction of up to €20m or 4% of global group turnover for serious breaches)
• Increased cost and complexity to ensure compliance
• The need for establishing a clear legal basis for processing data and where consent may/may not be needed
• What market activities will be legal after 25 May 2018

The delegate pack will include a one page Privacy Notice for use by a broker and a one page summary that explains what marketing can/cannot be done by post, phone and email.
