A two hour briefing presented by Branko Bjelobaba FCII, FCA Compliance Consultant and CII Accredited Advanced General Insurance Trainer.

This event, for FCA regulated firms only, (of relevance to general insurance firms - insurers and brokers), will provide a detailed overview of the near final rules that were published in December 2017 (we have had three Consultation Papers and two Policy Statements already). Whilst we have a delay in implementation (from 23 February to 1 October 2018) there are many changes that MUST still be made covering: compulsory training, marketing materials, conduct of business, product oversight and governance, conflicts of interest, systems and controls, PII cover and client money.

The Insurance Mediation Directive has been with us since 2005 and make no mistake; the UK will enact the IDD this year to ensure we trade with the rest of the EU on a level playing field on 1 October 2018. Do you know what changes you will have to make to be compliant with the law? Come and join fellow market professionals and find out.

All delegates will receive a mapping tool against the current proposed requirements to assist with implementation at their firm.

By the end of this event delegates will have gained an insight into:

  • IDD proposals - compulsory training, marketing materials, conduct of business, product oversight and governance, conflicts of interest, systems and controls, PII cover and client money

Session rates:

  • CII/PFS member - £200 + VAT
  • Non-members - £300 + VAT
