The George Maxwell Award
The IASG are proud to announce the launch of The George Maxwell Award, sponsored by Intact Insurance. The award will be presented each year at our Annual Dinner and will recognise outstanding contributions to insurance and personal finance.
We are privileged to name this award after George Maxwell, who truly embodied the values it represents. George, a previous President of the IASG, was a highly respected figure within the insurance industry and sadly passed away earlier this year. He was instrumental in many local initiatives across Glasgow and the wider Scottish network, giving countless hours in voluntary roles within local Institutes. His passion and commitment over decades were an inspiration to many and were formally recognised in 2017 when he received the CII’s Outstanding Achievement Award. George leaves behind a remarkable legacy, and this award stands as a tribute to his lasting influence.
The award recognises individuals who have:
- Delivered exceptional performance in their role
- Contributed to the wider market through innovation
- Successfully led a project that transformed organisational practice
- Continued their own professional development while mentoring and supporting young professionals
Finalists will be invited to the IASG Annual Dinner on Friday 28th November, where the winner will be announced and presented with a £1,000 cash prize
