It’s hard to believe it’s been a year since I proudly took on the role of
Deputy President of the Cheltenham and Gloucester Insurance Institute.
It’s been an incredible honour to serve such a dynamic and diverse membership across both the insurance and financial services markets.
From the very start, I felt a sense of community and purpose within this institute and was inspired after attending the epic annual dinner back in 2021. This led me to join and work hard, bouncing off the enthusiasm shown by those around me.
I am passionate about bringing people back together and modernising the way we do this—encouraging networking, collaboration, and rebuilding connections.
As part of our future plans of creating better connections this year we have re-introduced our ‘new gen’ council under a new name and a fresh drive. Please welcome L.I.F.T. – Local Institute Future Talent. A team of enthusiastic members with a mission to host networking events in order to get closer to our local members, as well as much more.
Here at the Cheltenham and Gloucester Insurance Institute we take pride in supporting professional development. We do this by delivering a strong programme of CPD, covering a wide range of relevant topics. I would like to thank our Education Committee for their incredible work in making that happen. I'd also like to give special thanks to every single Cheltenham and Gloucester Insurance Institute Council Member for their tireless efforts and dedication. As volunteers a lot of extra man hour goes into serving our community and this does not go unnoticed.
Going forward this year we have already got a packed CPD diary planned for our members as well as an in person CPD session in October, which we look forward to. This will serve as a great way to give back to the members and network with likeminded individuals.
Charitable giving and community support also remains central to our work. We are passionate about connecting with the charities we work with. This year, we are supporting two charities close to our hearts and close to those around us. Winston’s Wish and The Great Western Air Ambulance. We hope to have another successful year of representing our chosen charities and helping them to help others.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has supported me over the past year, and continuous to support me, guide me and help me make the right decisions for our institute. A warm thank you to the past Presidents and representatives of neighbouring Institutes who have supported and encouraged me. I’m proud of everything we’ve achieved together, especially this council’s great reputation and respect for the CII. Please come and see what we are about by attending our Annual Dinner on April 17th, 2026!
To all our members: thank you for being a part of our ever growing institute. I have enjoyed every moment of serving you thus far and look forward to our future together.
Kind regards,
Noemi.
