David Williams FCII
Managing Director Underwriting & Technical Services

David has over 30 years’ experience in General Insurance, roles including Chief Commercial Underwriter at one of AXA’s largest branches, Reinsurance Manager, Casualty Insurance Manager, Managing Director Claims and Managing Director Underwriting

David leads AXA’s work on Connected & Autonomous Vehicles, including work with 5 Government backed Consortia (including Venturer, UK Autodrive, & Flourish). He sits on the Association of British Insurers GIC and is Chair of the Autonomous Driving Group. He also Chairs RISCAuthority, the CII Underwriting Faculty, is a Board Member of the Fire Protection Association, and is a Non-Executive Director of AXA Assistance UK.

Matthew Wilson ACII

Brit Insurance

Matthew is the Group CEO of Brit and serves on the Boards of Brit Limited, Brit Syndicates Limited and Brit Insurance Services USA inc.

Matthew began his career in Lloyd's in 1988. He joined Brit in 1999 to start up the International Property Division and was appointed as CEO of Brit Global Markets in May 2008, which subsequently became Brit Global Specialty in February 2012, combining our reinsurance and global markets divisions to form one Lloyd's platform.

Matthew has served on the Board of the LMA since May 2011.

Kevin Hancock ACII

Yutree Insurance

Kevin started his career with Norwich Union & Provincial, and was Managing Director at The Davis Group for over 10 years. He is a Chartered Insurance Broker and chairs the CII’s Society of Insurance Broking. He is a founding member of the Newmarket Network and sits on the committee of the Newmarket Festival, organising fundraising events for local charities. A partner in Jemco Racing, Kevin takes part in endurance motor racing.

Alastair Blundell FCII
Head of General Insurance
BIBA

Alastair is Head of General Insurance at the British Insurance Brokers’ Association (BIBA), having joined in April 2019. In his current role he interacts with Government and the insurance industry to raise and solve issues that are important to brokers and consumers. Prior to BIBA, Alastair was Head of Distribution for Tokio Marine Kiln Group. He has over 35 years of experience in general insurance and spent the first 12 years of his career overseas, working in Hong Kong, Taipei and New York. He has extensive knowledge of both the UK regional and London insurance markets. He is a Chartered Insurer and a graduate of Oxford University.

Lisa Bartlett, MSc, FCII, FIRM
President, UK & Ireland
Crawford & Company

Lisa Bartlett joined Crawford in May 2019 as chief client officer for the UK business and in October 2019, she was promoted to president, UK & Ireland.

The former Aon area director and Towergate UK sales & marketing director served as regional director at AXA Insurance before joining Crawford.

Having worked in both the insurance and broking sectors in a variety of senior management roles, Lisa has a deep understanding and experience of the claims sector. She has a proven track record in developing new/new and new/existing business, implementing sales and retention strategies and leading major cultural change programmes.

With an MSc in Risk Management, Bartlett is a Fellow of the Institute of Risk Management and the Chartered Insurance Institute.
