The EU referendum: what you need to know
The UK will vote on 23 June on whether to remain in or leave the European Union. The referendum raises a number of highly significant legal issues, including:
- The areas of law most affected by EU law, and so most affected by a vote to leave;
- The legal process by which the UK would leave the EU, including the potential legal status a post-Brexit UK could have; and
- The interplay between the EU referendum and Scottish constitutional issues, in particular the ongoing argument over independence.
