The EU referendum: what you need to know

Brodies
Wednesday, 18 May 2016
8:00 am – 9:30 am (UK time)

The UK will vote on 23 June on whether to remain in or leave the European Union. The referendum raises a number of highly significant legal issues, including:

  • The areas of law most affected by EU law, and so most affected by a vote to leave;
  • The legal process by which the UK would leave the EU, including the potential legal status a post-Brexit UK could have; and
  • The interplay between the EU referendum and Scottish constitutional issues, in particular the ongoing argument over independence.

Christine O’Neill and Charles Livingstone, our EU and constitutional law experts, will shed light on these vital issues to help you reach an informed decision by June 23. We hope you will be able to join us.
