YMC Charity Quiz Night 2019

21 teams joined our Quizmaster, Jon Hancock (Performance Management Director, Lloyd's), at Steam Bar & Restaurant to battle it out for the title of 'IIL YMC Charity Quiz Champion 2019' and raise much needed funds for Starlight Children's Foundation.

A grand total of £3,602.26 (plus Gift Aid) was raised from the event; ticket proceeds, a well-supported raffle, generous donations from attendees and a live auction all contributed to this incredible amount. On the night, attendees heard more about the charity's excellent work from Head of Philanthropy and Partnerships, Michelle Jardine. Starlight Children's Foundation is a children's charity dedicated to brightening the lives of children and young people suffering from a serious illness. We do this through our hospital services which offer play, distraction and entertainment services, as well as experiences away from hospital such as our escape events and wish granting. These programmes deliver the support and experiences that families need to escape the routine and reality of living with serious illness, and life-threatening conditions.

The proceeds from this event (after event costs) were donated to Starlight Children's Foundation (Registered Charity Number 296058 (England & Wales) SC 047600 (Scotland)).
