Achieving digital change: the keys to success

Online event
Monday, 09 May 2022
1:00 pm – 2:00 pm (UK time)
    • Susan Jakobek, Chief Executive Officer, Placing Platform Limited
  • Cyber, & Technology

In this IIL cyber, technology and innovation webinar, Susan Jakobek discusses how her learnings from previous experiences in digital transformation and managing change now inform the market-wide programme for digital placement being developed at PPL and rolled out across the whole market.

In this session, the speaker outlines plans for the platform and what the market can expect to see in the next couple of years, as well as considering how the next generation of digital natives may transform workflows in our industry.

This webinar draws examples from Susan’s career leading digital transformations at organisations from the Ordnance Survey to PPL and will consider the challenges of implementing these types of changes, from the competing demands from regulators and clients to the different priorities of brokers and underwriters.

Susan also discusses how to engage and influence teams to encourage behavioural change. Success is about building relationships – just as in underwriting and broking, relationships are critical.

At present PPL is creating a new infrastructure for the future. The opportunity will be there for the market to use this to deliver an exciting wave of digital innovation for clients.

The digital native generation will inherit our marketplace over the next decade, and they consider online to be their primary method of business interaction. We are getting ready for that new generation, and although transition is a challenge, by working together, we can deliver something that will prepare us well for future innovation.
