In this IIL future of the market lecture Andrew covered market modernisation and change and the impact this will have on the workforce of the future..

Andrew briefed members on the current workstreams overseen by the London Market and why these are important to the market. He also discussed how the market of the future will be different from where we are now and the impact this may have on the people and skills we will need to operate successfully within the market.

By the end of this lecture members would have gained an insight into:

  • How the market is changing
  • What you need to think about regarding roles and skills
  • Use of data and technology

Speaker Bio:
Andrew is CEO of Beazley plc and president of Beazley Insurance Company Inc. since September 2008. He joined Beazley as Finance Director in June 2003. Prior to that he spent 15 years in the banking industry at ING, Nat West and Lloyds Bank. Andrew was appointed Chair of the London Market Group in May 2018.

Registration & Security

CPD events are open to CII and PFS members
Registration closes at 12pm two working days before the event date
For events held in The Old Library, Lloyd's pass holders may also attend and do not need to register
Original Photo ID (Driving Licence, Passport, Work ID with company logo and full name) is required to gain entry to all venues

Conditions:

  • Email confirmations and original photo ID must be produced to security staff at the lecture venue
  • Attendance confirmations are non-transferable to any other person or lecture
  • All venues have limited capacity and registration and/or a Lloyd's pass does not guarantee admission
