In this IIL London Market issues lecture Nicolas Aubert introduced the LMG Manifesto for 2018.

The LMG recently launched its Manifesto, derived from the research presented in its 'London Matters' (2014) report which highlighted the challenges facing the London Market if it is to maintain and enhance its position in the global market.

Nicolas discussed the intent of the Manifesto, commitments and priorities and the four work streams and their progress and future plans.

He concluded by saying that there had been a lot of emphasis on Brexit, but this should not be allowed to delay the modernization process and he called for greater positivity for the future - coining the term 'Brenaissance' - a renaissance for Britain.

By the end of this lecture members would gave gained an insight into LMG's priorities to 2018 including:

  • Telling the London Market story
  • Building a diverse, dynamic workforce
  • Creating a better business environment
  • Making London an easier, more cost effective place to do business.

Chair: Russell Higginbotham FCII, Global Head of L&H Products, Swiss Re and President, IIL.
