The PFS North Scotland Committee is pleased to welcome Michaela Pashley from Practical Financial Exams back to deliver three Technical CPD sessions on Investment Bonds, Top Slicing Relief and Personal and Business Protection.
Session Overview
The second of these sessions will look at Top Slicing Relief and will provide candidates with a study book and model answers to help them improve their skills.
Learning objectives - by the end of this talk you will gain an overview of:-
- Perform basic-to-moderately complex Income Tax calculations incorporating investment bond chargeable gains, for a range of different client circumstances varying by their other income.
- Demonstrate how to use pension contributions to minimise Income Tax on investment bond chargeable gains.
About the Speaker - Michaela Pashley
Michaela is a trainer and financial adviser.
In 2020, she founded PFE, which provides the only formal soft skills qualification in UK financial services, and a Netflix-style streaming service for original, structured CPD.
