PFS Technical - Personal and Business Protection with Practical Financial Exams
The PFS North Scotland Committee is pleased to welcome Michaela Pashley from Practical Financial Exams back to deliver three Technical CPD sessions on Investment Bonds, Top Slicing Relief and Personal and Business Protection.
Session Overview
The third session will look at Personal and Business Protection; refreshing your knowledge on the main protection contracts, looking at Bereavement Support payments and will look at how to stress test protection planning.
Learning objectives - by the end of this talk you will gain an overview of:-
- Explain the features, advantages, disadvantages, and taxation of term assurance, critical illness cover, and income protection for personal and business clients.
- Explain the Bereavement Support Payment, and how to include it within a client’s protection plan.
- Stress-test protection plans to identify any gaps in your recommendation and explain these simply to the client.
About the Speaker - Michaela Pashley
Michaela is a trainer and financial adviser.
In 2020, she founded PFE, which provides the only formal soft skills qualification in UK financial services, and a Netflix-style streaming service for original, structured CPD.
In 2023, she founded Roseum Financial Planning, a financial advice business which is part of the Quilter Network.
She also works with the team at Pilot Financial Systems as Head of Regulatory Compliance for their revolutionary new back-office software.
