Insurance Implications of Oil & Gas Contracts
The Insurance Institute of Aberdeen is happy to announce that their next event will focus on commercial contracts in the oil & gas sector and their implications for risk and insurance.
The seminar is designed to give delegates an understanding of the standard form “LOGIC” contract and commentary around emerging trends to deviate from this.
By attending this event delegates will be able to identify:
-Typical indemnity and insurance provisions in oil & gas contracts
-How such provisions alter the ordinary operation of common law principles
-The implications for property and liability insurance policies
-Specific considerations relating to property damage, personal injury, consequential loss and pollution
The presenters will cover the subject matter from both legal and insurance underwriting perspectives:
Judith Aldersey-Williams is a Partner at CMS in Aberdeen. She advises energy industry clients on a wide range of legal matters with a particular emphasis on commercial contracts, including joint operating agreements, major infrastructure projects, gas sales agreements, supply and service contracts both in the UK and internationally.
Jim Rutherford is Branch Manager at ACE European Group in Aberdeen. He has been involved in insuring oil & gas businesses for 25 years from both insurer and broking perspectives and has day to day involvement with ACE’s insurance contracts and clients in the oil & gas sector.
