Dear Members,

I was honoured in April 2022 to be elected to lead the Chartered Insurance Institute of Northampton for a two year term, as President. 

As the Institute heads in to its 115^th year, we hope to continue to deliver a varied and interesting CPD program for our members, as well as more outreach and social events. We are keen to see more engagement from our members and therefore hope to provide ample avenues for networking over the coming months. This year's dinner, our first since 2019, will be a wonderful opportunity to engage, in person, with  members. We are very excited to host this at a new venue, the Kettering Park Hotel & Spa, and hope it will be well supported as in previous years. 

The Council of the Insurance Institute of Northampton has seen some changes over the last few months, with Council veteran, Tom Hall, stepping down at this year's AGM. As a parting gift, Tom was awarded the position of Honorary Life Vice President of Northampton Institute, only the third person to be honoured with this in the Institute's history. We will him well and will miss him enormously. 

Our Council remains a strong and committed team of Insurance professionals, whose support I am unfailingly grateful for. They all work extremely hard to ensure we continue to deliver CPD and social events to our members and support the local insurance industry. 

This coming year I would like to continue to focus on our Institute locally, and the members that comprise same. Delivering CPD events which are appropriate for our membership demographic; providing events suitable for Young Professionals, to encourage their engagement and hosting a formal soiree, in the form of our Annual Dinner, in October.
