Speaker Bio:

Matthew Greig is the Business Development Executive for the South of England and Wales, working within the Corporate Development Team at the Chartered Insurance Institute and Personal Finance Society. Matthew's role provides him with the opportunity to support a wide variety of clients across both Insurance and Financial Services. With service excellence being his top priority, he deeply understands his client’s needs and provides them with a wide range of appropriate solutions to achieve their business aims.

Oakleaf Enterprise: Supporting Mental Health in Surrey

Oakleaf Enterprise is a Guildford-based mental health charity that has been helping individuals across Surrey manage their mental health for over 27 years. We provide a range of support services – from wellbeing activities and work-related training to employment support and counselling - empowering people to build confidence, skills and opportunities they need to achieve their goals. We also act as a social enterprise, selling gardening services to the public as well as delivering mental health training to the business community; the funds of which are fed back into the charity.

  • Wellbeing Activities & Support Groups: We offer creative workshops like art and upholstery, fitness classes like yoga and karate, outdoor activities, practical skills courses and mental health workshops - all designed to boost confidence, improve mental and physical health and reduce isolation.
  • Work-Related Training & Employment Support: We help clients gain skills, qualifications and work experience through: - IT and digital training - Gardening training - Tailored employment support via our Path to Success employment
  • Counselling: We provide an affordable, accessible counselling service with BACP registered counsellors, offering up to 18 sessions, available both online and in-person.
  • Guildford Safe Haven: Oakleaf is the base for Guildford Safe Haven, a mental health crisis support service, run in partnership with Catalyst and Surrey and Borders Partnership (SABP). Open 6-11pm, 7 days a week, 365 days a year for individuals and carers in need. In the last reporting year, there were 2,305 attendances to the Safe Haven.
