Geraldine Morgan

Geraldine Morgan is a London-based recruiter with over 20 years' experience working in the insurance and financial services sector.

Geraldine began her career at Marsh insurance brokers in the City of London, and after taking a career break to travel, she returned to Marsh over a decade later. Proof that for many, insurance is a revolving door! She accepted an account management role at Hays during the pandemic, and over the following two years she gained agency experience before founding her own recruitment firm, Sterling Search in 2023, specialising in London Market insurance recruitment.

Having a passion for history and a fondness for the insurance market, which she credits as being the most fun industry to work in (true story!), Geraldine launched Sterling Events in 2024 with a view to running walking tours for her clients. Fascinated by the history of the City of London, she embarked on a research project charting the timeline of the Edward Lloyd story, from the opening of his coffee shop on Great Tower Street, through to the Lloyd's insurance market that we know today located in the iconic Lloyd's building on Lime Street. In addition to the Edward Lloyd back story, the tours also cover the history of the banking and financial services industry which date back to the 11th Century, and also explores the evolution of the City of London into a global financial hub.

Geraldine's tours offer a mix of historical trivia and fun facts, making them an educational and enjoyable experience for her guests. The tour can also be used to log points towards your CPD record.
