Thank you for electing me to be your President for the forthcoming year. The Insurance Institute of Bristol is one of the oldest local institutes, and has one of the largest CII and PFS membership bases. As such, it is an honour to represent you.

The institute comprises a main council and several subcommittees. These are all formed from dedicated and hard-working volunteers, who give their time so generously to provide for our membership. Whether that be in the form of organising CPD, social or roadshow events, or the back office functions that keep the institute running, I am very grateful for all their efforts.

Our aim this year is to continue to provide our membership with an array of events, which will include some webinars, some hybrid and some face-to-face sessions. As ever, the pinnacle of our year is our annual dinner, which takes place in March, and supports our fundraising activities, alongside celebrating exam success.

This year, we are fundraising for Guide Dogs. This charity is important to me because of my grandparent's experience of sight loss. Our primary goal is to achieve a fundraising total of £2,500, which will enable us to make a real difference to the charity...and to name a guide dog puppy! Whilst we appreciate times are tough, we welcome any and all donations throughout the year to our Just Giving page: The insurance institute of Bristol is fundraising for Guide Dogs (justgiving.com).
