FINANCIAL ADVICE IN DIVORCE FOUNDATION TRAINING DAY – WEDNESDAY 17TH SEPTEMBER
The Insurance Institute of York and The PFS in collaboration with The FPOD Academy are very pleased to offer a Foundation Training Day for Financial Advisers who are interested in, or are already providing, advice and services on divorce. This Training Day is for any Financial Adviser who is keen to develop their foundational skills and knowledge in this important and growing area of work.
The training will be provided by Fiona Sharp and Steve Hennessy of The FPOD Academy. Both Fiona and Steve are Chartered Financial Planners, and they both hold the prestigious Resolution Accreditation for Financial Planning on Divorce. They have several years of relevant experience in this work and will be sharing their top tips and useful resources on the day.
The day will cover the following subjects:
- Developing your professional network and growing your business - Family Lawyers, Mediators, Actuaries, Accountants & Therapists.
- Team Working and the emotional aspects of divorce work - From practice management to self care.
- The Divorce Process, routes to a divorce and Court timelines - Where and how Financial Advisers can add value.
- Pension Options on Divorce - The definitive list of Pros and Cons of all the options including the state pension.
- Pensions on Divorce Timelines - The priorities and the pitfalls.
- Statutory Instruments - What are they & why do we need to know about them?
All attendees will receive a comprehensive delegate pack and a CPD certificate.
Date & Time: Wednesday 17th September – 9am registration for a 9:30am start. Finish at 16:30.
Location: Wetherby Racecourse (free parking is available on site)
Cost: This training day is normally priced at £175 per delegate, however, The Insurance Institute of York and The PFS are delighted to be able to offer the full training day to CII/PFS members at a cost of only £30 - a benefit of membership!
Spaces are limited, so please book early to avoid disappointment!
Tea, coffee and a buffet lunch is included in the cost (please let us know of any dietary requirements via the booking link).
Dress code: Casual/business casual – we want attendees to feel comfortable for a day of learning.
