Lunch & Learn - Rewiring the Mind: CBT, NLP & Managing Anxiety
Join us for the Mindshift Lounge, an informal and interactive in-person lunch session designed to explore how we can rewire the mind using tools from CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming), and anxiety management strategies. Together, we'll delve into the powerful connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviour, and learn how to identify and challenge unhelpful cognitive distortions. You'll be introduced to effective NLP and CBT techniques for reframing negative thinking, and discover prioritisation strategies to reduce feelings of overwhelm. While there will be some PowerPoint-based learning, the emphasis will be on hands-on practical exercises such as thought journaling and reframing, along with lively, supportive group discussions. This enriching session will be co-facilitated by Lisa Watson, a Nurse Practitioner and Menopause Specialist Nurse, and Jeanette Forder, a Life Coach and Mindfulness Practitioner.
