Chartered Insurance Institute awards prizes for exceptional exam performance

The Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) has awarded 33 prizes for exceptional performance in its qualifications during 2022.

The CII has recognised the work of candidates in exams and coursework each year since 1912, when the professional body received its Royal Charter to raise public trust in insurance and personal finance.

With around 4,000 entries, this year’s winners include insurance and personal finance professionals from Marsh, AXA XL, Axis Capital, Gallagher, EFU Life Assurance, Crowe, Zurich, Faraday Underwriting Limited, Allianz Insurance plc, QBE, Kirkton Insurance Brokers, Thomas Carroll, RSA Group, Marsh McLennan, NFU Mutual, Hiscox, Pettecrew Financial Planning, Coverys, Standard Life and Rouse Limited.

Russell Higginbotham, CII President, said: “Thousands of learners invest time and energy to take CII qualifications each year in the knowledge that their success will be internationally recognised, helping them to advance their professional skills, their careers and to better serve their clients. I would like to congratulate everyone who has achieved success this year, alongside the 33 individuals who have demonstrated exceptional performance. Our winners should be very proud of their achievements.”

On achieving the best result in the CII’s Advanced insurance broking unit 930 on completion of the Advanced Diploma in Insurance qualification and taking the David John Hine Memorial Prize Patrice Rolle said: “I’m really proud of myself for achieving this result. I was determined to pass, and I made a lot of sacrifices which wasn’t easy but it paid off. This prize helps to set me apart among my peers demonstrating my hard work and dedication, as well as my
knowledge and skills.”

Every winner receives a cash prize of up to £1,000 plus a certificate, which is usually presented at their local insurance institute annual dinner. The CII will share top tips for exceptional performance from this year’s winners across the CII’s Facebook , LinkedIn , X (formerly Twitter) Twitter), and Instagram channels.

Entry for prizes is automatic for every CII candidate who completes a test or submits coursework during the year.
