Behind the Scenes - Liverpool Adelphi Hotel
Experience an immersive guided tour
IIL have arranged for a behind the scenes tour of the Adelphi Hotel in Liverpool City Centre.
The Adelphi Hotel holds a place in Liverpool's history and is linked to IIL having been the venue for its annual dinner for over 40 years with the earliest dinner being recorded as being held there in 1908.
It has had a varied past in terms of ownership and reputation now being part of the Britannia Group of Hotels.
Guests at the hotel through the years have included world leaders, such as Franklin D. Roosevelt and Winston Churchill; as well as music artists like Frank Sinatra, Laurel and Hardy, Judy Garland, Bob Dylan, and Roy Rogers.
The present building is the third hotel on the site, and is a designated Grade II listed building. The building is owned and managed by Britannia Hotels. It contains 402 en-suite bedrooms, conference and dining facilities, and a gymnasium.
The Adelphi have very kindly offered to provide a behind the scenes tour of the hotel for IIL members and friends. A chance to see the hotel today and ask all those questions you may have about its history and the plans for its future.
Depending on the level of interest in the tour, there may need to be 2 start times. This will be confirmed to you before the day.
