Annual Team Quiz
Our annual team quiz is back! A free buffet will be provided, and the venue has a licensed bar. This is a team quiz for up to 4 people per team. Everyone is welcome, so come along and compete against colleagues, other companies in Chester & North Wales, and fellow CII members. Prizes will be on offer, along with the coveted quiz trophy, which hasn't been awarded since 2019.

Summer Social BBQ & Drinks
Given the success of last year's summer BBQ, we have decided to hold the event again at Oddfellows in Chester. This is an opportunity to catch up and network with fellow members on a social basis, grab some food and drink, and raise some additional funds for the Insurance Charities. Networking Breakfast & Storyhouse Presentation
This is a Pan Professionals Event in conjunction with other professionals in and around Chester. The event will include the opportunity for networking between 8.30am and 9.30am, with tea, coffee and a few pastries followed by our guest speaker. The speaker will be Brendon Batson OBE, one of England’s pioneering black footballers and an executive of the Professionals Footballers Association.

Book your tickets now for our 2022 annual dinner, which will also be a celebration of our centenary year. This prestigious event is the pinnacle of the Institute calendar and your support is very much appreciated. Those of you who have attended previously will know that the evening provides an excellent opportunity to meet with friends and colleagues, enjoy fine food and wine, relax and have a dance. Property Insurance. Understanding why there will be 15% + rate increases in 2022
A combination of higher materials and labour costs will mean insurers are likely to need 9.6% increases just to cover rebuild cost inflation in the UK. However, given most need additional rate strength of around 6% to balance their loss-making property books, this will mean policyholders looking at rate increases of around 15% in 2022 on top of the 2021 increases!
