About the speakers:

Sue Capper, Principal Risk Consultant – Liability

Sue is a highly qualified and experienced health and safety professional. During Sue’s career, she has worked in a range of HSE and Facilities roles over 28 years prior to joining Zurich.

Sue’s career spans various industries, including manufacturing, laboratories, logistics, storage and distribution. Amongst other skills, Sue has a wealth of experience in accident investigation, claims management and training, contractor control, permits, slips and trips, workplace transport, machinery, audit and inspection.

In addition, part of Sue’s career was as Group Behavioural Safety Manager for a large manufacturing organisation, introducing and embedding a culture change programme across multiple sites, resulting in some fantastic safety performance improvements.

Sue’s has specialist knowledge in PFAS, Business Continuity Management, implementing policies and procedures and then running scenarios to test these. Training and mentoring is also a particular passion for Sue, and she is a qualified NLP Practitioner.

Qualifications include BSc (Honours) Degree, NEBOSH Diploma in H & S, NEBOSH Diploma in Environmental Management.

Jamie Tooke – Fixed Fire Protection Engineer

Jamie brings over 22 years of combined experience in the fire protection and insurance industries, making him a highly respected authority in the field of fixed fire protection systems. His current role at Zurich Resilience Solutions involves the analysis, assessment, and on-site evaluation of fire protection systems, where he provides expert technical advice and risk management solutions to clients and underwriters.

Jamie’s approach is rooted in pragmatism and collaboration. He leverages his deep understanding of fire protection standards and fire test data to deliver practical, tailored guidance. His ability to translate complex technical requirements into actionable insights has made him a trusted advisor across a wide range of industries.

Throughout his career, Jamie has held various roles—from Trainee Design Engineer to Projects/Contracts Manager—before joining Zurich in 2018. He is a fully qualified sprinkler engineer with extensive LPCB certifications and is actively involved in industry working groups, representing Zurich within the RISC Authority. His expertise spans sprinkler protection, system design, hydraulic calculations, and commissioning, all backed by excellent communication skills.
