Brighton Art Tour – a guided walk
*** PLEASE NOTE: Bookings will close at 9.00 am on Thursday 3 April ***
See Brighton through different eyes – it is full of art and artists. The sea, the South Downs and the Georgian architecture have been attracting famous artists here for centuries.
Join tour guide and actor, Nick Richmond, for a walking tour of the city by the sea where we will look at the lives and work of some of the famous artists who have lived or painted here, from Beardsley to Banksy and compare their visions of the city with the modern reality.
The tour will feature the work of Aubrey Beardsley, JMW Turner, Constable, Banksy, the street art of North Laine and much more.

Important Information
The walk will begin promptly at 6.00 pm and will start and finish at the Jubilee Clock Tower in Brighton, so please arrive at our meeting point by 5.50 pm. It is approximately 1.5 miles in total and includes a steep uphill climb and descent, making it unsuitable for wheelchair users or those with more limited mobility.
Given the sexualised and graphic nature of the work of one of the featured artists, this event is not suitable for anyone under the age of 15.
Taking place in and around the streets of Brighton, this tour is very dependent on the weather and may need to be cancelled if the forecast or conditions on the day are unfavourable. If the event does not take place for any reason we will, of course, contact you at the earliest opportunity and allow a full refund. Please also see the more general terms around cancellations below.
If you have any queries relating to this event, please contact Susan Stamp by email at secretary@sussexcii.org.uk.
