FCA Focus on Culture & Behaviour in General Insurance
This webinar will focus on the various FCA statements and publications setting out the revised supervisory agenda for general insurance intermediaries and will cover current FCA reporting requirements on non-financial misconduct, their expectations, press coverage (incl Bloomberg’s findings which still remain relevant), Dame Amanda Blanc’s views and then the assessment of culture, changing behaviour, the key role of senior managers and individual staff conduct rules. We will also look at the new legal duty that firms are subject to from 26 October 2024 to prevent sexual harassment at work. The FCA believe that improvements in firms’ cultures, governance and oversight arrangements will ultimately drive the change that they require - this event will focus on the culture part of the equation. This talk is very much interactive and those attending will be encouraged to share their thoughts (if they wish to) and experiences on the route to cultural maturity, motivators and what a good and healthy culture looks like.
