Anti-greenwashing in Insurance & Financial Services
As sustainability becomes a central theme in financial services, the pressure to communicate environmental credentials responsibly has never been greater. But with that comes the risk of greenwashing—where well-intentioned messaging can mislead, damage trust, and breach regulatory standards.
Join Martin Truelove, Brand and Corporate Affairs Governance Lead at Aviva, for a practical and insightful session on Anti-greenwashing. This webinar will explore how insurance and financial professionals can ensure their sustainability claims are transparent, compliant, and credible—protecting both brand reputation and consumer trust. Whether you're using materials to talk to clients about their company’s sustainability credentials, crafting client communications, reviewing marketing content, advising on ESG disclosures, or simply engaging in conversations around environmental commitments—this session will equip you to navigate the complexities of green claims with clarity and confidence.

The Rise of Errors And Omission Claims Against Brokers And How These Can Be Mitigated
This presentation will explore why the number of errors and omission claims against brokers are on the increase and how these can potentially be mitigated.
Ask a Pi solicitor which Pi claims are the easiest to deal with, and they nearly always say broker Pi claims because you just must settle! – brokers time and again fail to professionally train staff and record key things in a correct manner, meaning that when these claims go to court there is often no defence.

Global threats facing the insurance industry
What are the global threats facing the insurance industry right now and how are these impacting UK insurers and brokers, can they be insured and how can we adapt to survive?
Today war, weather extremes and the cost of living crisis dominate public debate but the sector faces critical risks – cyber/AI/tech, regulation, climate change and human talent. Can we effectively tackle any of them? Cyber is in the news all the time with companies and government on the lookout for massive show stoppers (M&S, Co-op and JLR to name three big ones!) including potential catastrophic interference with our democratic processes as we see with deep fakes. In addition, with half of us due to retire within the next 15 years, why is there a failure to attract and retain the right talent and what can we and the CII do about it? Further, it is also clear that insurers simply can’t underwrite the effects of climate change, so what will then happen? And are chat bots here to help or hinder??
This will be an interactive and wide-ranging talk and those attending will be actively encouraged to contribute with their own experiences and views. We will look at the differences in responses between insurers and brokers with brokers considering business conduct more of a concern than insurers.

Critical Business Interruption Learnings for Brokers, Infinity Reliance Judgement
One of the most important judgements in recent times relating to Bi insurance was made in the Infinity Reliance case, and brokers who fail to change their proceedings risk large Pi claims against them going forward.
This case has shown brokers are very exposed to the following three areas:
1. If indemnity wordings are used rather than declaration linked.
2. Any broker guidance note must reflect the actual policy wording.
3. AICOW must be discussed when there are unusual exposures.
Average was applied by Aviva to the Bi claim following a large loss, and the broker was held liable for most of the shortfall, which was nearly £3m, due to their failure on the above three points.
This webinar, presented by Alan Chandler, one of the most popular presenters in the UK, looks to understand how brokers are exposed following this judgement and how to take practical steps to ensure the right procedures to mitigate these exposures.
This webinar is a must for all broking staff and has significant relevance for underwriters and claims staff also.
