Emma Falloon

Emma is an Associate in the Kennedys Belfast office. She joined in June 2021. Emma has experience in defending a wide variety of insurance claims. She receives instructions from a number of Insurers and Self-Insured clients in both County Court and High Court claims.

She regularly defends and advises on loss and damage claims airing from public liability, employers’ liability and professional negligence.

Emma was elected onto the Northern Ireland Young Solicitors Association and holds the position of Vice Chair. Emma has presented to clients from around the UK as part of the Celtic Webinar series. Emma also sits on the FOIL SFT (Sector Focus) for property claims.

Alexander Redpath

Alexander is a Senior Associate, with over 10 years’ experience, advising employers and providing representation in the Industrial Tribunal. Alexander has defended claims on behalf of large and small employers involving claims of unfair dismissal and all categories of discrimination. Alexander is a committee member of the Employment Lawyers’ Group NI.

Alexander has a particular interest in professional regulation and advises clients in regulatory proceedings before the GMC, NMC, and Pharmaceutical Society of Northern Ireland. Alexander serves as a Panel Chairman for Accountancy Ireland’s Appeals Committee.

"Mind Matters: Cultivating Positive Mental Wellbeing in Remote Work Environments"

Claire Russell, Founder & CEO, Mental Health in Business; TEDx Speaker; Keynote Speaker; Coach

Claire’s vision is to lead a global shift in mental health in the workplace. With her personal lived experience of mental ill health, and losing her partner to suicide in 2018; she is passionate about helping to effect change, break down taboos and open up the conversation about mental health. She is a (youth and adult) mental health first aid instructor, a suicide awareness and intervention trainer and creator of multiple mental health training programs.

Until early 2021 (alongside her work in mental health) Claire owned and ran insurance broking businesses for more than 20 years, so she understands well the challenges faced by business owners and leaders.

She is also a prolific speaker - speaking candidly about her own experiences, and speaking on a range of issues relating to wellness and workplace mental wellbeing. She continues to be a committed volunteer, passionately supporting suicide prevention charities (now, PAPYRUS and formerly Samaritans)
