This year, BIBA and the CII join forces to reach out to members and are pleased to invite you to attend this lunch time session based on the BBC Question Time model.
It will be an interactive and collaborative Panel event for our East Midlands region. Chaired and hosted by BIBA Regional Chairman Tom Hall.

We are all faced with similar issues as brokers, insurers, and users of motor insurance and the scale and pace of change is enormous. This event is set to provide some excellent debate and is CPD accredited.

The panellists are:
Paul Ryman-Tubb - Chief Technical Officer from MIB - Uninsured Motorists.

About Paul: Responsible for the way MIB handle claims, applies the law and MIB Agreements. Represents MIB UK with regards to its obligations and roles played in assisting victims of cross border accidents. Oversees MIB's catastrophic injury claims and Chairman of the MIB Technical Committee - a dispute resolution panel for resolving disputes between MIB and its member insurers.


David Williams - Managing Director, Underwriting & Technical Services at AXA –Driverless vehicles

About David: Chair of The CII Underwriting Faculty and heavily involved in the Governments 'Connected & Autonomous Vehicles' Pilots. Chair of RISCAuthority & Board Member at the Fire Protection Association (FPA). A member of the AXA Group Commercial Board and has represented the UK on Asbestos, Health, Pollution and Fraud issues. He speaks regularly at conferences and other events in the UK and Europe on a variety of subjects including most recently Big Data, improving customer satisfaction, and climate change. Has also appeared on BBC Breakfast TV, Channel 4 News, and Radio 4’s ‘Today’ Programme, being interviewed on topics varying from Driverless Cars, Climate Change & Flooding, Compensation Culture to Business Crime.

Previously a member of the National Stakeholder Council for the Governments ‘Workplace Health Connect’ initiative, a Board Member of the CII / CILA Faculty of Claims, and was a director of Thatcham, the Insurance Industry Motor Vehicle Research Institute for 4 years.

About Andrew: Direct Fleet offers the products of 8 insurance companies to over 300 brokers who upload over 100 fleets a week onto their website. Andrew also operates Blagrove Underwriting, an MGA which underwrites across a broad spectrum of fleet risks from Haulage to SME mini-fleet.
