Lloyds of London Tour (1 of 2) CANCELLED
Thé tour Will be conducted by an experienced tour guide and will include
- How Lloyd’s operates today, who the underwriters and brokers are, and how they interrelate with each other.
- Past results, the clients who insure at Lloyd’s, and the Chain of Security, the history of Lloyd’s, starting with the coffee house, and explaining the Titanic slip,
- Activity in the present building, together with Lloyd’s Lab, the classes of business insured and the global business breakdown
- The artefacts, including the Lutine Bell, Loss Book, the Adam Room, the Old Library and the Nelson Collection.
IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS
Lloyds of London require that you pass security, which will require a PHOTO ID, eg driving licence, passport (original, not a photocopy) and your CII pin. You can then be issued with a pass to gain entry to the building.
The closing date is 3 days before as Lloyds of London require the list of people attending beforehand.
The cost to NDII is considerable and previously having up to 60% no shows, this is why we have introduced a subsidised fee of £20 to attend.
There is a maximum of 10 people in each session.
Security passes will be available for collection at the Events desk on the left-hand side of the Lloyd’s Main Reception on Lower Ground. They must arrive 10 minutes prior to the booking time to allow the collection of passes and a punctual tour starting time.
Backpacks or luggage are not permitted on a Lloyd's tour and items must be left within the dedicated Cloakroom located on Upper Basement. Valuable items may be retrieved and carried by the visitors.
