During their journey the execs will meet the Ghosts of Insurance Past, Present & Future and they will enlighten us with a review of the insurance world in 2025, current issues, and what we can expect in 2026 and beyond. There has been an increased focus upon the needs of vulnerable customers by the FCA in recent years. Regulatory returns now refer to how many customers with a vulnerability have been identified and what actions have been taken to address those vulnerabilities. There are many resources available to those working in our industry to promote understanding of the legal basis of this approach however, most of this workshop cites examples of the consequences of failing to recognise vulnerabilities and how insurers and brokers may have better handled the situation

This session is designed to address the unique mental health challenges faced by men in the workplace. Drawing on evidence-based approaches and MHIB’s commitment to reducing stigma and fostering positive mental health cultures, the session will explore the barriers men encounter in seeking support, the impact of traditional gender norms, and practical strategies for building resilience and wellbeing. Participants will gain insights into recognising signs of distress in themselves and others, learn how to initiate supportive conversations, and access resources to maintain long-term mental health. The session will be interactive, combining expert input with real-world scenarios and group discussion to ensure actionable takeaways
