Cancer Support Suffolk - Cancer Awareness Session

Join this in person session to support those who have or have had cancer or those who have someone close to you who is effected by Cancer.

In this session Kimya will talk through ways to spot cancer and talk about the support Cancer Support Suffolk offer.

You’ll also get to hear from our wonderful council member, Andy Brown, talking about his experience – it’s important no matter your gender to feel like you aren’t alone and there is always someone there to support you.

We would love for you to attend this session at the wonderful Seckford Hall – there will be some light snacks and refreshments with an opportunity to chat afterwards.

Cancer Support Suffolk, being our chosen Charity of the year, we want to ensure we can raise as much as possible and the ticket for this event will be in aid of Cancer Support Suffolk.

"I have been with Cancer Support Suffolk since October 2023. I am the Education, Engagement & Outreach Manager, a job I absolutely love.

We have entered our 26th year as a small local independent charity supporting people in Suffolk with a diagnosis of cancer. My role involves leading on various cancer related educational projects, community engagement and ensuring that the charity is visible. I give talks & presentations to adults and young people in the community around ‘general cancer awareness’, the signs & symptoms to look out for plus reminding them of the available screening programmes. Early cancer diagnosis is key.

I also very much enjoy collaborating and working with other health colleagues, charities, and organisations. I love educating people and attending any relevant events – so proud to work for Cancer Support Suffolk."

Tickets are £5 for both members and non-CII members – all proceeds will be going direct to Cancer Support Suffolk
