Yasmin Carter-Esdale, a graduate of the CII New Generation programme, Insurance Woman of the Year 2023 finalist and master of Linkedin will be explaining how you can build your personal brand to benefit your own career.

Creating a personal brand can be a daunting and seemingly impossible task. It is difficult to know where to start and what you wish to achieve, however, establishing that brand is so crucial to your personal and professional success.

In our session we will cover;

  1. Understanding what a personal brand is and how you can influence your own;
  2. Methods of defining yourself personally and professionally and the advantages this can offer;
  3. Understanding the value of LinkedIn to develop and promote your personal brand
  4. Best practices for LinkedIn in the insurance profession
  5. Communicating your brand and creating content that resonates with your audience

Speaker Profile: Yasmin Carter-Esdale, UK Schemes Account Executive - Hiscox

Yasmin works as a Schemes Account Executive at Hiscox, working to develop, deliver and manage broker-led schemes.

She has worked in the Insurance Industry for the past 13 years a with a career spanning braking and underwriting and currently sits on the board for the CII Underwriting Professional Community.

Yasmin is also the founder of ELEV822, the insurance professions first LinkedIn development programme that teaches participants how to create content that willl amplify their personal brand, strength their relationship with brokers, underwriters and other stakeholders and ultimately raise the profile of the insurance profession.

As an advocate for multicultural inclusion and progression in the insurance sector, Yasmin also sits on the Steering Committee at iCAN (Insurance Cultural Awareness Network) who have over 7,000 members and run a number of key initiatives to drive change in insurance.

This session will be in person with refreshments. There will not be a recording of this session so please do join us in person and take advantage of Yasmin's time and the opportunity to network.
